Joseph S. Mack
After graduating from the University of Maryland School of Law with Honors, Joe Mack served as a law clerk to the Honorable Alan M. Wilner of the Maryland Court of Appeals (the highest court in Maryland). Joe spent the next several years as an associate at Venable LLP (one of the largest private law firms in Maryland). He gained experience in both business transactions and commercial litigation.
Joe now offers the same quality of representation and advocacy that he gave to Fortune 100 companies while working at the large law firm to everyone, at an accessible rate.
Joe graduated from the Park School in Baltimore County in 1999. At the University of Maryland, College Park, Joe had dual majors in philosophy and criminal justice. Joe was selected to participate in a program allowing him to go to law school after his junior year of college, and thus entered the University of Maryland School of Law as one of the youngest members of his class at the age of 20. At Maryland, Joe gained a place on the Moot Court Board and was selected to compete in the 2005 Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Moot Court Competition in Boston, MA. Joe also served as the Executive Editor of the University of Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender and Class. He was also picked by Professor Donald G. Gifford, a preeminent tort scholar, as a research assistant. Joe's article, Nullum Tempus: Governmental Immunity to Statutes of Limitation, Laches, and Statutes of Repose, won an Honorable Mention in the International Association of Defense Counsel's 2005 Legal Writing Contest, a national competition, and was published by the the International Association of Defense Counsel's law journal the following year.
Joe acts as general counsel to the Stadium School Youth Dreamers, a non-profit group of middle and high school students who, with the help of some adult mentors, bought and renovated a house in Baltimore City and have turned it into a sucessful community center. Outside of the law, Joe's interests include competing in triathlons, hiking and whitewater rafting.
